So nice, we bought it twice
We actually purchased this item because the one we bought over 10 years ago finally broke. We decided that we couldn't live without another one, so we promptly jumped online and bought it again! Thank you so much for keeping this item in store and in stock. We absolutely love our loose leaf tea and this is a fantastic steeper.
stuck
i just bought one of these a few days ago and after taking the bottom pressure plate off to clean and dry it. its now misaligned and stuck it wont come off and the water comes out as soon as you put any in. i tried soaking it as it said online but it didnt work. theres visibly no debris or anything and like i said i just got it so i dont think anything has built up. does anyone know how to fix it. i dont want to buy another after it breaking after just a few days.

So easy!
Easy to clean, easy to use. I love that you just put t obverse the mug and it empties ! Use with a tea bag so you won't have to clean as much!! Just rinse.
second one bought
this is the second one i bought, my first one has lasted me for YEARS. and it still works, its just stained from all my teas. just wanted to get a fresh one and separate my dessert teas and my fruity teas
Love it but breaks
I love my tea steeper, but when I take it apart to try and wash it, the bottom breaks. I love how you can steep the tea and then put it on top of the cup.
Very Convenient
I like it. It's convenient for loose leaf tea. It has a good size to make a big cup of tea. I usually do 2 cups from the same loose leafs portion, I just steep the leafs twice. It's relatively easy to clean, but because it's all plastic, the tea will eventually discolor the mesh at the bottom. The mesh is more difficult to access and you can't disassemble it to do deep cleaning. This doesn't affect the functionality however. I was also afraid that it would leak or drip, but I've been using it for a few months now almost daily and so far it worked great, no leaking or dripping.
The only drawback I see is that it's all made of plastic.
GENIUS PRODUCT
I finally purchased this Tea Steeper and it has changed my life! This is seriously a very "high tech" product and I love everythig about it. Taking it apart and putting it all together was a bit of a learning curve, however once I got the hang of it, I have never looked back. Nothing else compares!
After a month of daily use, I noticed that the parts were getting a bit "tea-stained" and I used an old cleaning method that the "Steeper Users" might like.
I take a tablet of Dishwasher Detergent and put it into a bowl with very hot water and let it dissolve. Then, after I have taken the Steeper all apart, I put all the parts into the bowel and let them sit in the solution for about five or six hours. When the soak is finished, I rinse everything off, let the parts air dry and. . . Voila. . . a brand new, sparkling Clear Tea Steeper.

Not so clear!
I like how easy it is to brew tea with this steeper although after a month or so of use, it is no longer clear. . . . . it's got a cloudy look to it now; even after cleaning multiple times with soap and water. Doesn't affect the steeping process, just surprised it looks worn so quickly.
