Nice pitcher with one flaw

"This pitcher holds up well, fits in the refrigerator door, and looks very nice. The flaw is that the tea strainer is extremely difficult to clean. On a plastic version, the tea strainer can be disassembled into 3 parts that are easy to clean. This pitcher’s tea strainer is a single piece that is very difficult to clean."

Excellent

"Meilleur que celui en plastique que j'avais avant (il fallait toujours le laver à la main, au moins celui-ci va au lave-vaisselle et il est plus facile à utiliser)"

Beauty & Functionality

"The Pitcher from David’s Tea is easy to use, is lovely on the table for guests. I had the plastic one prior to this, this is a better design!"

Love love love

"I like that it is made out of glass. Perfect size to brew and store in the fridge for an iced tea!"

So great

"I've been making iced tea every week now and this works so well! Exactly what I was looking for."

Fine, but has flaws

"I decided maybe it was better to use a glass pitcher rather than the old plastic ones I have from David’s tea. The glass part is nice and the lid is okay. It doesn’t hold as much tea as the old ones. But the worst part is the strainer. It is an absolute pain and nearly impossible to clean. The old strainers would come apart for easier cleaning. I wind up just using the paper fill able tea bags, so really I could have bought any old glass pitcher and had the same functionality."

Just amazing ♥️

"I’m enjoying this pitcher so much. The warmer weather coming I can make enough ice tea for a few days. Because I like David’s loose teas I can now buy and try more often. Happy customer Patricia Benjamin"

Patricia B. (5/5)

Super handy!

"When you steap your loose-leaf tea in this pitcher, the holes in the strainer are so tiny that the loose-leaf itself is unlikely to seep through into the liquid. The pitcher is narrow, so it fits easily into a fridge. And it's made out of glass, so it's much easier to clean and less likely to get stained than a plastic pitcher."

I love this pitcher, but…

"I wish that the lid was able to fully close, I like to swish my pitcher before pouring but when it’s full, the tea splashes out."

Great Product

"My first time buying online at David’s Tea and I’m very happy with the purchase. Sturdy and easy to clean."

Q&A

Making Iced inquiry ~ I've recently purchased several fruity iced tea flavours & am unsure how to make my iced tea with them. Do I boil water as for hot tea & put the fruits into the infuser of my pink & orange jug purchase several years ago from you? (I believe it is the same size as your teal jug) If so how much fruit would I use & how long do I let it sit before cooling & using? How do I get one of your spoons for measuring loose teas, everytime I try to order there are never any available. If unavailable then what is the measurement amount with a tsp/tbsp or metric spoon? Thanks for any help you can give me.
Hi Sandra D.! Each of our teas come with instructions printed on the loose leaf bags, as well as on the tea webpage on our website. For iced tea, we suggest infusing double the amount of tea in half the amount of water you’d use for hot tea. Follow the water temperature and steeping time indicated for the tea you're infusing, and once the time is up, pour this into your cup filled with ice. If you want to add fruit to your iced teas, you can add this to your personal taste! We think our fruity teas are perfect on their own, but the beauty of tea is that it is customizable—so you can add the fruit that tastes good to you! We suggest drinking iced tea stored in the fridge within 3 days from brewing. Our Perfect Spoon is currently in stock, and can be found in our tea accessories page, or by searching “spoon” in the search bar. It is the equivalent of 2.5 teaspoons. We'd invite you to connect with our Customer Care tea-m so that we can better assist you with your iced tea experience, using the Contact Us form linked at the bottom of our website or via Live Chat. 🩵
How much tea should I put in this pitcher?
Hey Victoria! Our Teal Glass Pitcher calls for 4-6 Perfect Spoons of loose leaf tea for hot tea, and 6-8 Perfect Spoons of loose leaf tea when making iced tea. ✨
can this pitcher handle boiling water? id like to steep the tea in the pitcher then let it cool to room temp and then put in the fridge but im worried the glass would break
Hello Jenna! The glass in our Teal Glass Pitcher is durable, borosilicate glass that can withstand hot water. We do recommend waiting until your water isn't actively boiling before pouring it into the pitcher and over the tea leaves.
Does the infuser have a handle to remove it if I’m making hot tea?
Hey Maya! Yes, the infuser in our Teal Glass Pitcher does have a handle to remove.
Does it close tight so I can shake it after it's cold?
Hi there, Amanda! The lid on our Glass Pitcher has a tight, secure fit so it won't move if you shake your pitcher—though there is an opening at the spout for you to be able to pour your tea, so we would not recommend shaking your pitcher when full. A careful swirl might do the trick, however! ✨
