toasty hojicha latte
If you haven’t seen hojicha powder before, you might be a bit confused: why is this green tea powder brown?
Don’t worry—it’s totally normal. Our premium hojicha is made with tea leaves that have been shade grown, then deveined and destemmed before being roasted to give them a rich, toasty flavour.
In powdered form, hojicha is amazingly versatile. You can think of it like matcha’s cozy cousin, because it can be used in all the same ways to make equally delicious bevvies, but with slightly warmer, cozier vibes. This hojicha latte recipe makes the toastiest cold weather treat.
Things to Note: We recommend using a bamboo whisk—soak in hot water for about a minute before you start to keep it in good condition!
When you whisk your hojicha, make an “M” formation with your movements.
