Not my cup of tea. . . and if you love coconut, don't bother

"Full disclosure: I'm not a huge fan of green tea. But I do like white tea, and love coconut, so I gave this a try since the description suggests that it's delicious and is "somewhere between coconut water and coconut milk" in terms of flavour. Well. . . it's not. I drink both coconut water and coconut milk and I'm here to tell you that there is virtually no coconut flavour to this tea (unsurprisingly, since I counted exactly 4 small pieces of actual coconut in the blend). What it does taste like is green tea - OK if you're a fan, I guess, but that's not me, and it's not what I thought I was purchasing. Disappointing, to say the least."

Recipe for Success

"In our house this is our go-to method for preparing this: steep the tea a little strong (two teaspoons for one person) in a mug only halfway filled with water, when done pour into a tumbler or cocktail shaker over ice and with milk. Throw any coconut pieces that were in your tea into the cup. Shake vigorously until cold and frothy. The result is a delightful coconut-forward latte that is so refreshing!"

Disappointing-can’t even taste the coconut

"This was a disappointing purchase. I was used to the original oolong coconut tea which has been discontinued, and thought this was going to be a good alternative. I was sorely mistaken. Hardly any coconut and the combination with a white tea makes it almost tasteless. The original oolong and coconut tea had a an maxing aroma that lasted I. The can for years. I’m talking here from experience. Sadly I will not buy this new tea again. Hoping the original comes back."

Strong Artificial Coconut Taste

"I was super excited for this white tea because I love this type of flavor profile, but I tried the first cup and it honestly just tasted strange. It was a little bit sweetened, which is fine, but after the sweet there's a pang of like. . 25% coconut, 75% chemical. (That being said, there is a possibility that my tastebuds are just a little weird because a lot of artificial sweeteners taste like that to me too. It's worth a try if you like coconut)"
