Have you seen the viral banana bread latte recipe taking the internet by storm? Well, we’ve kicked it up a notch by adding the clean, green longhaul caffeine of matcha.
We start the recipe off using our delicately smooth & velvety Organic Grand Cru Matcha—one of the highest grade and most delicious matchas on earth. With every vein lovingly removed from the green tea leaves, it is then ground into a superfine matcha powder that whisks into an impossibly creamy brew.
Now imagine combining this with home-made banana bread cold foam (trust us, it’s easy to whip up) and you’ve got a sweet, cozy & uplifting treat that’s as Insta-worthy as it is delicious.
Things to Note: We recommend using a bamboo whisk—soak in hot water for about a minute before you start to keep it in good condition!
When you whisk your matcha, make an “M” (for matcha!) formation with your movements.
Using unsweetened matcha? Make sure to sift it to get the clumps out.
ingredients:
2 Perfect Matcha Spoons (1 tsp) Organic Grand Cru Matcha
60-90 ml (2–3 oz) hot water 80°C (175°F)
4 oz milk of your choice
Banana Bread Cold Foam
· 2–3 tbsp milk of choice
· 1 tbsp heavy cream
· 1–2 tsp banana bread syrup (see below)
Banana Bread Syrup
· ½ ripe banana, mashed
· ½ cup maple syrup
· ½ cup water
· ¼ tsp cinnamon
· Splash of vanilla extract
recipe:
- Add matcha powder and hot water to your matcha bowl and whisk until smooth

In a separate bowl, mash together the ingredients for your banana bread syrup, then set aside
- To make the cold foam, whisk together the milk, cream and 1-2 tsp of the banana bread syrup until silky & pourable
- Fill a glass with ice and pour in milk as a base
- Pour in your prepared matcha and top with banana bread cold foam
- Sprinkle cinnamon or cookie crumbs over top for a little something extra
